BOARD MEETING MINUTES

                                                              March 19, 2012

                             7:00 PM, Clubhouse

 

 

I.         CALL TO ORDER/SALUTE TO FLAG

           Board President, George Fencik, called the meeting to order at 7:04 PM.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

 

II.        ROLL CALL

Present: George Fencik, President; Art Pantaleone, Vice-President; Glenn Anderson, Treasurer; Diane Ewing, Secretary; Ray Patnaude, Director; Kathy Ayres, Community Manager

III.       APPROVAL OF February 13, 2012 MINUTES

Motion to approve the minutes was made by Glenn, seconded by Ray.

            Motion approved.

 

IV.       TREASURERS REPORT February 2012 – Glenn Anderson
 
            Operating Income for the month is $31,332
            Operating Expenses for the month are $21,712
            Revenue in excess of expenses for the month of February is $9,620.  Year to Date: $18,300

 

We have a total of $444,976 in CD and Money Market Reserves 

All our money market accounts have been switched to Bank United with an interest

 rate of .25%;

V.        COMMUNITY MANAGERS REPORT

           

A SPECIAL MENTION: 

Tina Rudolph donated 2 outdoor flags to the Association.  The flags were flown over the 911 Flight 93 Memorial and came with a certificate stating such.  The flag is now being flown at the Herbertsville Entrance. Glenn Anderson had the certificate framed with an acknowledgment of Tina Rudolph’s donation.  The frame was placed under the Bocce Court plaque. 

 

 

 

The following projects were completed:

·        Locker Room knobs were replaced in the Men’s’ and Ladies’ rooms. - Quality 1st

 

·        Ladies Room door repaired:  hinges were loose. – Quality 1st

·        The weather stripping was replaced under the CH front entrance door and on the bottom of the Ladies Room pool door. – Quality 1st

 

·        CH Bench -  6 wood slats were replaced– Quality 1st

·        The door frame on the pool veranda was repaired and repainted. – Quality 1st

·        The nails in the CH Gutters were secured where loose.  Also flashing was needed and installed on the gutter above the front Billiard Room window. – Quality 1st.

 

·        The Herbertsville Road flag was replaced – Quality 1st

 

·        In late April, early May the Air conditioning system will be evaluated. – Brick Heating and Air Conditioning.

 

·        Late April, the Bocce Courts will be cleaned by Stanley Steamer.

 

           

  VI.      BOARD LIAISON REPORTS

           

GROUNDS: Art Pantaleone

Spring arrives tomorrow, March 20th.  On March 14th Images weeded the Clubhouse Entrance.  On the 20th the Clubhouse flower beds will be edged.  March 21st is the spring clean-up and the pre-emergent will be put down.  On March 23rd the Mulch will be put down, fertilizer will be put down also.

 

The irrigation will be tested in the beginning of April and the irrigation system will be turned on at the tentatively at end of April or the beginning of May.

 

Great Blue will be installing the fountains tomorrow, March 20th.

 

ARC: Art Pantaleone

There was 1 application and 1 approval

 

BOCCE:

 Glenn Anderson:  Bocce starts May 22nd and runs for 14 weeks.  Two teams dropped out.

 

SOCIAL/CLUBHOUSE: Diane Ewing

The St. Pat’s Party was a success.  The band was so good they were hired for the Night Under the         Stars Party in July.

 

Memorial Day Party- March 24th is the Preparation meeting.  Honeysuckle & Sunflower are hosting             the Memorial Day Party.

 

There is a Social Club “orientation and organization” meeting on April 14 at 10:00 am.

 

POOL: Ray Patnaude

 Candlewood will start the pool maintenance in April.

 

 

 

 

 

  CLUBHOUSE WATCH: Ray Patnaude

The Clubhouse watch schedule has been distributed.  It begins on April 16th.

 

As a reminder when you leave the Clubhouse, please make sure you turn off the lights to the        Restrooms.

 

            George Fencik:

We have 3 Board candidates running for 3 open seats that have supplied a resume.

 

Mayor Acropolis has asked to attend the Annual Meeting.  He was away for  a few days; I  left a message with his office accepting his invitation.

           

The Garage Sale is April 28th.  Remember to get your Township permit.  The cost is $5.00.

            Since we do not have any New Business or Old Business, we will take questions now.

 

 IX.      OPEN Q & A SESSION:

  Q        Are the sidewalks going to be cleaned this year?

A         We will take a look at them in the fall.

 George Fencik announced that the next Board meeting will be the Annual Election Meeting on April 16, 2012 at 7:00PM.
