MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
We have weathered a number of snow storms/blizzards this wintry season, but Spring is on its way!
Winds of March, we welcome you,
There is work for you to do.
Work and play and blow all day,
Blow the winter cold away.

Those words certainly express what most, if not all of us, feel!
Aside from the weather, please take a moment and consider important points from the census bureau:
We emphasize: the census is sent through the mail; a census taker will come to your home only if you have not completed the census form; no census taker will ask to enter your home.
Wishing you a grand St. Patrick’s Day, we send an Irish Blessing:
May you be rich in blessings, poor in misfortune.
Slow to make enemies, quick to make friends,
But rich or poor, slow or quick,
May you know nothing but happiness from this day forward.

For those of you who missed the Super Bowl Party, a good time was had by all! The number of attendees was low, but the spirit was astounding! Winners of the Super Bowl Pool were the following: 1st quarter: Joe Daly, a guest of Jack O’Rourke; 2nd quarter, Charles Cantalupe; 3rd quarter, Pat Gambino; and 4th quarter, Anne Keenan. Congratulations to all! Special thanks to Joe Williams
for making the evening a great success.
The tickets for the St. Patrick’s Day Party to be held on Friday, March 12, are on sale and may be purchased from Karl Knehr. The party poses to be a fun time for all. Billy Keenan’s Prime Time Show Band will be back for your enjoyment. If you are going to be here in CV in March, don’t miss this spectacular event!
The CV Ladies’ Luncheon is scheduled tentatively for the second week in June. More information is to follow.

"Conducting the census is an enormous task, and the Census Bureau goes to extraordinary measures to keep all the data we collect confidential."
-- Robert M. Groves, Director of the United States Census Bureau
If you don't send back your form, you may receive a visit from a census taker. If a census taker visits you, here's what you should do:
· First ask to see their ID. All census workers carry official government badges marked with just their name; they may also have a "U.S. Census Bureau" bag
· Note that the census taker will never ask to enter your home
· If you're still not certain about their identity, please call the Regional Census Centers to confirm they are employed by the Census Bureau
· Answer the census form questions for your entire household (you must be at least 15 years old to answer questions) so that the census taker can record the results for submission to the Census Bureau
Census takers visit local homes several times to capture resident information for the 2010 Census. If you prefer, you can schedule a visit with your census taker. Should the census taker come when you are away from your home, they will leave a contact number. If a census taker has not visited your home or you have a question about your participation with the census, call your Census office.
